Mission
Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Women’s Club’s objective is to foster the spiritual and social well-being of the parish through service, charitable acts, and events and to raise funds to support the acts and events of the club. By-laws shall be available for review at the club’s meetings. Any woman, eighteen years of age or over, who is a registered member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish shall be eligible for membership. Upon request, any member of the parish who is unable to fully participate due to age, infirmity, or other circumstance shall be awarded an honorary membership. The meetings of the club shall be determined during the summer planning meeting by the Executive Board. The annual dues shall be $10, for the period from July 1 – June 30. One hundred percent of the money raised by dues will go to the acts and services of the club. The Club’s activities include business and planning meetings as well as events to bring members of the parish community together, to provide service for members of the parish, and to provide for members in need in the broader community. In addition to paying dues, Club members conduct fundraisers at least once per year to benefit the entire parish community with social events, scholarships for middle and high school students, holiday cards for shut-ins of the parish, and activities to benefit children and families of the parish. Fundraisers may include bake sales, raffles, and other ideas that evolve as the Club determines the need for additional funds.
