Support for Blessed Sacrament/All Souls began with Notre Dame Parish Easthampton
in the 1990’s with the late Fr. Thomas Champigny, pastor of Notre Dame church from
1995—2007. Initially it was the liturgical committee of Notre Dame that began the
sister-relationship with Blessed Sacrament/All Souls. It began with donations of
blankets and warm winter items such as hats, mittens, scarves, and coats. Later a
more organized program began with cash donations for gifts for the children of the
parish at Christmas time as well as fuel assistance during the cold winter months.
When Notre Dame, Sacred Heart, and Immaculate Conception Parishes merged to form
Our Lady of the Valley in 2010, the Notre Dame parishioners joined the Immaculate
Conception Mission Committee. And so, the two worked together to support each other
in prayer and financial assistance. We look forward to celebrating liturgies together as
well as participating in Blessed Sacrament/All Souls activities, such as The Way of the
Cross every Good Friday and walks for non-violence, justice, and peace. We also
continue to aid our brothers and sisters fuel assistance and their upcoming roofing
project. For Christmas in 2024 we will be gifting 90 bibles to the Religious Education for
Youth program to use in their ongoing study of their religious heritage.
