An Act of Spiritual Communion Prayer: At every moment of every day the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is being offered somewhere in the world.
When it is impossible for us to attend Mass in person, we have a tradition in the Church by which we
make an Act of Spiritual Communion with these Masses.

An Act of Spiritual Communion
As I cannot this day enjoy the happiness
of assisting at the holy Mysteries, O my God!
I transport myself in spirit to the foot of Your altar;
I unite with the Church, which by the hands of the priest,
offers You Your adorable Son in the Holy Sacrifice;
I offer myself with Him, by Him, and in His Name.
I adore, I praise, and thank You,
imploring Your mercy, invoking Your assistance,
and presenting You the homage I owe You as my Creator,
the love due to You as my Savior.
Apply to my soul, O merciful Jesus, Your infinite merits;
apply them also to those for whom I wish to pray.
I desire to communicate spiritually,
that Your Blood may purify,
Your Flesh strengthen,
and Your Spirit sanctify me.
May I never forget that You, my divine Redeemer,
has died for me;
may I die to all that is not You,
that hereafter I may live eternally with You.
Take & Eat is
Looking For a Few Young People
During this time of Coronavirus the Take and Eat
Ministry are looking for some eager, young volunteers who can
help us in our quest to serve the elderly and isolated in our
communities. Many of us who work this ministry are in what is
being termed the “vulnerable” population. Of course none of
us—young or old—are immune to the results of this virus, but the
young and healthy seem more able to fight off the effects. We
are bringing meals to elderly folk who need to be protected—but
who really need the meals we provide. If you can help in the
kitchen, we are taking precautions to prevent transmitting the
illness. If you can help with the delivery, we have safeguards
set in place there also. Please call or email me if you can
help. 413-210-2680 or

OLV CHURCH IS CLOSED
UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE however, priests are available by appointment
Effective Tuesday, March 17, all churches and chapels in
the Diocese of Springfield,
including adoration chapels and oratories, are to be closed until
further notice. Bishop Rozanski understands that this
is difficult news to share but based on input from our
environmental consultants and given Gov. Baker's latest decrees
Bishop regrets that he had no choice but to take this additional
truly painful step.
The new directives go on to say that funerals may ONLY be held and attended by immediate family and very close friends,
and may not exceed the state mandated limit of 25 people. Times
and dates for these should NOT be posted nor published.
That all said, Fr. John Gawienowski and Fr. Doug McGonagle are
available to hear confessions. Simply call the parish
number, (413)527-9778, to make an appointment.
The priests are also available to give the sacrament of
Anointing of the Sick to people who are critically ill and at
risk of dying. Simply call the parish number and arrange
for a priest to come and administer the sacrament.
Scheduled Masses that have intentions are being offered
privately by the priests.
